Post World economies effect on ESL
With the world stock markets crashing and economies looking at extended recessions. What do you feel the effects will be in the ESL industry?

Perhaps:
- With the USA's decline and increase in importance of China and India, less people finding such importance in learning the English language.

- Economy slowdown, meaning people have less money to spend attending English classes.

- Many Americans looking to cash in on a fallen dollar, by heading overseas to work (ESL would be a major market flooded with new jobseekers)

Just some thoughts, any more?

The world's economy, at least for now, seems to continue to fuel an English language market- especially in Asia and the Middle East. Much of the world continues to conduct business in English, and much of the world's popular culture is disseminated in English.
You can still reap huge monetary rewards from becoming TEFL certified through an accredited program (I recommend checking out this one: http://www.internationalteflacademy.com ... locations/ and http://www.internationalteflacademy.com ... EFL-Class/) not to mention the cultural benefits of an overseas experience.
