 Relearning English?
Hello everybody!
I learned english at school and spent one year abroad to improve it(11 years ago). Now I have been living in Germany for 4 years and had to get used to speaking in another foreign language most of the time. As a result, I have forgotten my good English :-( But I decided to get it back!!!
Now my question:
Does anybody know any serious internet sites, where I could find "penpals" (or "e-mail-pals")? I am 28 now and I do not want the typical site for people at school, I would rather like to get in touch with people older than 25 (nothing against youger people, but I thing I would have more in common with people in my age) and from Great Britain (nothing against other nationalities, but I don“t want to get used to mix different English types and not be able to speak any of them 100% correctly at the end). I offer to correct Spanish in exchange.
Thanks a lot in advance!
Gloria

Hi Gloria,
I'm an Irishman living in Hamburg for 3 years and have also had to deal with learning German. As a result I find I am using English less and less and my English is believe it or not becoming worse and worse. I would gladly help out as I need to speak more English sonst werde ich alles vergessen!!!!!
Schreib mich eine e-mail!

 Re: Relearning English?
A decade ago to learn English, you had to attend costly English classes or purchase course material like tapes and books. Now you can learn English for free from the comfort of your home using the Internet. The BBC and the British Council offer a number of on line courses, which teach written and spoken English. You can also improve your English by watching television programs and reading English newspapers. For more information, visit http://tinyurl.com/qnzpt

While waiting for your pen-pals, you can also help yourself by reading English books and listening to broadcasts in English. I am sure even in Germany you can find quite a few English channel TV and FM stations. And by the way, the Americans control the English language now, so you might as well start listening stations such as CNN.

 Re: Relearning English?
Hi Gloria.
I have been struggling to even start spanish recently. It is a language i have always wanted to learn, but never seem to get the time.
I would be more than happy to help you "re-learn" English, although i am sure you will get it back again in no time.
I am 28, British and have a A-Level grade qualification in English Language.
You can e-mail my Yahoo account from here if interested.
Adios
Richard
