
"Correct the LOLcat" Activity
Hi! I have created a website, WordSpark, to share my ideas for teaching English. It focuses on a communicative approach using music, movies, art, reading, puzzles, worksheets, labeled pictures and unique activities. It's a great way to engage your students using real-world topics that they are interested in.
One of my favorite new activities is "Correct the LOLcat." This can be a fun activity to do in the computer lab or as homework. LOLcats have bad spelling and grammar, so it is up to the student to correct them. Students can post their answers in the comment section of each post or you can discuss their ideas for correction in class. These links will take you to the first three I have done:
